About Us

Gayle Parker Wright is a native New Yorker who was born and raised in Brooklyn. She is an LCSW-R in NY and LSW in NJ. She graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor’s in social work and from Columbia University with a Master’s in social work. She is currently working on her Doctoral degree at Simmons University. Gayle has over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse working with individuals and families in underserved communities. She provides clinical supervision to undergraduate and graduates social work students. She has provided services to populations such as foster care, criminal justice, case management, adolescents/juvenile justice, managed care, and geriatrics. Gayle is a Life Coach & Career Coach, and Mediator (Divorce/ Civil/Family. Gayle was a professor at St. John’s University and Queens College.  She has worked and provided services in various settings such as residential, Corrections, Substance Abuse, Mental Health, Respite, and Private Practice. She is a certified instructor/trainer for a host of training as but not limited to D&I Corporate training, Mental Health First Aid (Adults, Youth, and Teens), Trauma Informed Care, Cultural Competency, Specialized training with the LGBTQIA2O+, Recovery Coach, Peer Supervision, Parenting Wellness, Suicide Prevention, Domestic Violence, Motivational Interviewing, and many evidenced-based topics. Over the last 25 years, she has served in many leadership roles, providing community agency management oversight and clinical consultant services. Gayle has worked with outstanding agencies and institutions such as Services for the Underserved Inc, Rutgers University, and ACS. She mentors many students and professionals in the field of Mental health and Substance Abuse Services. She consistently advocates for underserved people and families that need support and guidance. She believes in peer support and champions the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) Model. She is also committed to exploring self-centered treatment for individuals with Mental health and substance abuse disorders. Gayle is a Motivational speaker sharing her personal and professional life experiences and information to activate others. She brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise to the field.
